Privacy Policy (United States)

Version 1.1 · Effective November 7, 2026

This policy covers the iViron Tracker iPhone app offered in the United States (“the app”) and the website us.iviron.ca (“the website”). Both are run by iViron Tracker App Ltd., 200 – 101 West 16th Street, North Vancouver, British Columbia V7M 1T3, Canada (“iViron”, “we”).

1. The short version

2. What the app keeps, and where

The app keeps what you enter or choose to bring in: blood test results (such as ferritin and hemoglobin), infusions, how you feel, your answers to the app’s questions (such as sex at birth, birth year and pregnancy), your reminder choices, a blood test requisition if you scan one, and the date you said yes to keeping it. It uses them to show your history, estimate when your ferritin may drop, and remind you.

All of it is saved in files inside the app on your iPhone. It is not sent to iViron or to any server. The app loads its screens from us.iviron.ca, so our web host sees each screen being asked for, as on the website (see section 8); your health information never travels with those requests. If iCloud Backup is turned on, your iPhone includes the app’s files in your own device backup, in your own Apple account, under Apple’s terms. The app does not write it to iCloud Drive or to any iViron database.

Because we never receive it, we cannot see it, recover it, or hand it to anyone. If you lose your phone without a backup, we cannot restore it.

3. Apple Health

If you tap “Look in Apple Health”, the app asks your permission to read lab results from your health records. It reads only lab results, picks out ferritin and hemoglobin, and saves only the ones you choose into the app’s own file on your iPhone. It never writes anything to Apple Health. Information from Apple Health is not sent to us or anyone else, and is never used for advertising, marketing or sold. You can turn this permission off in the Health app or in Settings at any time.

4. Scanning a lab sheet or requisition

If you scan a lab sheet with the camera, the page is read on your iPhone. The picture is not kept and is not sent anywhere. Only the numbers you choose to save are kept, in the app’s file.

If you scan your blood test requisition (part of the unlock), the app keeps the scanned pages in its own file on your iPhone so you can show them at the lab. The app does not read them, and the app does not send them to iViron or anyone else. They leave your phone only if you share them yourself with the Share button. A new scan replaces the old one, and you can delete it at any time.

5. Reminders

Reminders are scheduled by your iPhone itself. No reminder goes through a server. The text on your lock screen does not name a test result.

6. The $2.99 unlock

The app is free to download. Some features unlock with a one-time $2.99 purchase, made through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment under Apple’s privacy policy. We are not sent your name, your card or your Apple account. Apple gives developers sales reports that do not identify you.

7. Inside the app: no analytics, no tracking

The app has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking code, and it does not count your visits. Its screens are loaded from us.iviron.ca, and our web host handles those requests as described in section 8, without your health information. It does not use your location.

8. The website

9. Your consumer health data rights

Washington’s My Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada, Connecticut and other states protect “consumer health data”. Here is how they apply to iViron:

10. Children

Many people who need IV iron are under 18. The app asks an adult to agree first: the person is 18 or older, or their parent or guardian agrees for them. The app sends no personal information to us, so we do not collect personal information from children.

11. Security

The app’s files are protected by your iPhone’s own security: your passcode and the encryption Apple builds into iPhone. Keep your phone locked with a passcode. If a mistake in the app ever exposed your information, we would say so in the app and on the website and tell regulators as the law requires, including under the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Health Breach Notification Rule.

12. Changes to this policy

The version and date are at the top of this page. If we change how the app handles your health information, the app asks for your yes again before it saves anything more.
